Time and again, music has proven to change and even save lives. There’s nothing like a good song to lift you up when you’re feeling down, and here are some songs that have gotten me some really tough times.
Always remember that the most difficult roads often lead to the most beautiful destinations.
“A Million Lives” – Jake Miller
Jake tells us the story of three survivors; one who recovered from cancer, one who endured bullying, and one who had to deal with her brother’s death. If they made it through, and so can you.
“Superheroes” – The Script
Sometimes we have to spend all our life fighting and battling challenges, but hey, “That’s how a superhero learns to fly”. Turn that pain into power.
“Carry On” – FUN
If you’re lost and alone, or you’re sinking like a stone, carry on. Tough times don’t last, tough people do.
“The Fighter” – Gym Class Heroes Ft. Ryan Tedder
Are you in a lot of pain? Or do you have a lot of scars? Good, that means you’re a fighter. Keep fighting.
“Perfect” – P!nk
If you ever doubt yourself, even for a second, remember that you’re f***in perfect. Period.
“I Lived” – One Republic
Bryan Warnecke’s story about living with cystic fibrosis will redefine the way you look at challenges. Nothing can get in your way if you don’t allow it.
“Roar” – Katy Perry
They held you down, but you got up. You are a champion. Come on, let’s you ROARRRRR!!!!
“Lullaby” – Shawn Mullins
Do people always think you got it all, but you just cry yourself to sleep every night not knowing why? Let Shawn Mullins sing you a soothing lullaby that will melt your troubles away.
“Stay The Same” – Joey McIntyre
Before Bruno Mars, there was Joey McIntyre, who thinks you can be whatever you want to be. He also wants you to stay the same, because there’s nothing about you that needs to be changed.
“Not Afraid” – Eminem
Some people are just waiting to see you to fail. Don’t be afraid, take that first step. We’re right here with you.
“Skyscraper” – Demi Lovato
If life wants to knock you down, that’s okay, you rise again, like a skyscraper. And then give life the middle finger and say, “What else you got??”
Hope this helps you feel better. What are some other songs that you listen to when going through a rough time?
