32-year-old Scottish DJ Calvin Harris got into a violent car accident in Los Angeles on Friday, causing him to cancel two gigs and to be hospitalised.
A VW Beetle driven by a 16-year-old female crossed the center divider and smashed into Harris’ SUV, ejecting one of the girls from the VW. Harris was a very lucky man as he could have been struck head on if his car had been hit a second earlier.
Harris was taken to a local hospital for a facial laceration and when he was told he couldn’t get a private room, he got off the gurney and left, against medical advice. However, A rep for the DJ says that he was cleared to leave. The girl on the other hand suffered a broken pelvis.
“Adam was a passenger in a vehicle that was struck in a serious collision last night in Los Angeles,” the rep for the DJ mentioned. “He was examined by doctors and sustained a number of injuries. He has since been checked out of hospital and is now recovering. We wish all the other passengers involved in the incident a fast recovery.”
“As a result he was not able to perform in Las Vegas at his OMNIA [nightclub] residency and will be unable to perform tonight at Hangout Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama,” the rep added.
