Sad news for Kesha fans! The singer will not be performing at this year’s Billboard Music Awards after Dr. Luke’s label Kemosabe Record rescinded its initial approval to allow her to perform. Kesha was very looking forward to participate in the Bob Dylan tribute at the Billboard Awards.

“I’m very sad and sorry to say I won’t be allowed to do this,” Kesha said in an Instagram post. “I just wanted to make very clear that this performance was about me honoring one of my favorite songwriters of all time and has never had anything at all to do with Dr. Luke.”
Lady Gaga is one of the celebrities who has spoken out on Twitter, saying that we want her (Kesha) voice back.

Kesha has been struggling in a legal battle to try and get released from her contract with Kemosabe Records and its parent company, Sony Music Entertainment. She was allegedly drugged, emotionally abused and sexually assaulted by her former producer, Dr. Luke.
