Christmas 2011: A wonderland in the heart of the city

This Christmas, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur turns into a whimsical venue with plenty of fanfare and amusement. The magical wonderland, aptly named “Christmas Wonderland” features a sweet, candy-land atmosphere decorated with giant candy and Christmas ornaments.

The unique experience also comes with an exquisitely designed carousel that shoppers can treat their kids to when they donate RM5 to charity or flash their Hong Leong Bank credit card. They may also grab a cup of Tiffany & Co. popcorn (only available on weekends until Christmas day) while they’re at it.

But of course, that’s not the star on the show.

The real “star” sits atop a glorious sight in the Centre Court of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. For weeks to come, shoppers will marvel at the breathtaking sight of a glorious, 40-foot-tall Christmas tree which was exclusively designed for the mall by none other than the “it” luxury jewelry brand, Tiffany & Co.

When asked, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur’s Director of Marketing, Kung Suan Ai said, “As the world’s premier lifestyle and shopping destination, we want nothing more than to give our shoppers a unique, one-of-a-kind experience of a Christmas Wonderland exclusive at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.”

“We do hope that our shoppers will take full advantage of this season’s captivating splendor and indulge in the luxurious, opulent and magical Christmas and shopping experience that we’ve prepared for them. I am proud to say that together with our partners, we were able to create a unique world that brings together elements of Christmas for an exceptional wonderland”, she went on to add.

This year, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur spills with festive glow as twinkling lights and soft Christmas music fill the air. It’s like walking into a Christmas dream – except, it’s real.

And maybe, just maybe, if we listened real closely, we might hear sleigh bells in a near distance.
