Twenty3, a homegrown fashion label for women, recently unveiled their latest graphic T-shirts collection, TEA. Yes, like the drink tea. The name TEA was was derived from a quote by Eleanor Roosevelt, “A woman is like a tea bag – you never know how strong she is until she gets in hot water”.
According to founder, Sherlyn Tan, this collection is especially aimed at women to remind them to focus on themselves. Tan adds, “We know that chasing one’s dreams is never an easy journey. Along the way, it’s all too easy for us to fall prey to our own fears that we are not good enough, not smart enough, not rich enough, or are not doing enough with our lives.”
TEA by Twenty3 features graphic T-shirts in black and white, and comes in 10 designs, created by the brand’s own team of graphic designers. The T-shirts are captioned with catchy reminders of one’s self-worth, to messages of empowerment, as well as witty captions derived from original artworks.
The funny captions are meant to put a smile on the wearer’s face when they look into a mirror, and to remind them to put themselves first. #GirlPower
