If you’ve ever been to any part of Japan, you’d know that convenience stores, or konbinis as they’d call them, are everywhere. You’d find just about anything you need, and even when you don’t intend on purchasing anything, chances are you’ll walk out with something in hand.
Konbinis have become one of our favourite memories about visiting Japan, and some of the things you can find include oden (hot pot), onigiri (rice balls), beverages, microwavable meals, bento boxes, sandwiches, pastries, snacks, stationery, cosmetics, body care, photo-printing machines, and even ticketing machines to popular destinations. The list just goes on…
Well, we don’t know if it’ll be as good as the ones in Japan, but Tokyo’s FamilyMart will be opening in Malaysia by December 2016. How exciting?! 😀
The convenience store chain, which has more than 17, 540 stores in seven countries worldwide, is owned by Maxincome Resources Sdn Bhd. We’ll update you guys once the location for the first FamilyMart convenience store in Malaysia is locked down.
Please, please, please, be just as good as a Japanese konbini…
