I’m not too sure about the rest of you guys but Bridget Jones was definitely my spirit animal. I mean, there is just so much to love about her! She’s funny, smart, quirky and makes no apologies for being her absolute mess of a self. When we last saw Bridget, she managed to patch things up with Mark Darcy and we assumed they lived happily ever after.
Or did they? During her appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Renee Zellweger who plays Bridget Jones premiered the brand new trailer for Bridget Jones’s Baby.
The clip walks us through Bridget’s current life: Still single, working out, is now a television news producer and not together with Mark Darcy. However, she is “maintaining good relationship with ex.” Btw, how good does Colin Firth look?!
In this instalment of the beloved Bridget Jones series, she is also apparently pregnant and that would be fine except she doesn’t know who the father of the baby is. But at least she can narrow it down to Mark or her new love interest Jack Qwant who is played by Patrick Dempsey. Whatever it is, we have a feeling that like the previous two, Bridget will take us on her humorous adventure and we’ll absolutely love her for it.
Bridget Jones’s Baby is set to hit theatres later this year.
