Giorgio Armani has agreed to put a halt to the usage of fur in his clothing line, and advocates out there are rejoicing! Armani worked with the Humane Society of the United States and the Fur Free Alliance to develop this plan. Other animal rights organisations are also responding positively to Armani’s decision.
“I am pleased to announce that the Armani Group has made a firm commitment to abolish the use of animal fur in its collections,” he said.
On Tuesday, The Armani Group shared that its Fall/Winter ’16 will not be featuring any fur in any of the garments. Ben Williamson, media director of PETA, reported to refinery29 that the organisation is pleased with Armani’s decision on using faux fur and other animal-friendly materials.
