LOL!
Asians are having a good laugh as Balenciaga’s newly debuted ‘It’ bag during its Fall/Winter 2016 show looks exactly like a cheap, plastic utilitarian shopping bag you can find for sale at wet markets, trundled down the sidewalks at Petaling Street, or carried to the bus station when Malaysians go back to their hometowns.
Well, who needs a Balenciaga when you can get the same thing at a fraction of the price? Many Thais have also brought this to the attention of netizens as the utilitarian shopping bag is sold at only RM10 by wholesale merchants like Platinum Shopping Mall.
Some Thai reporters even went through the trouble of contacting the Department of Intellectual Property in Thailand to ask if the bag was a copyright violation, to which the issue was dismissed due to the clear difference in material.
The Balenciaga bag is made out of leather and costs at least RM10,000. What do you think? 😉
