The title of People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive is a prestigious title and if we had it our way we’d make sure we had a say in it as well but the jury has spoken and this year Bradley Cooper takes top spot with his dazzling wit, charm and baby blue eyes.
However people around the world are setting up Facebook protest pages and online petitions insisting that People’s magazine had it all wrong and that fan favourite Ryan Gosling should have been crowned the title. Well, while we can’t dispute that Ryan’s a complete romantic who once said that he was willing to end is acting career to start a family and broke up a street fight in New York, but his role in The Notebook set the precedence of what a man should be for millions of women around the world.
While Ryan gets our maternal instincts at an all time high, Bradley on the other hand radiates a bad boy persona though he admits that he isn’t a ladies’ man and when named the Sexiest Man Alive, he said, “My mother is going to be so happy,”
Awww.
Must be his on screen roles, hmm. Well if you’ve watched the 36 year old in interviews, you’d realize that the man is impossibly modest, doesn’t take himself too seriously, charitable, respects his parents, loves animals, a self professed romantic and an amazing dancer, singer and chef. It’s impossible to summarize the talented Mr. Cooper in a single sentence but there you go! Plus he was also a one time Globetrekker host. Here are some of Bradley Cooper’s best and most memorable roles to date:
Alias
He played Will Tippin on the spy drama series Alias as a local newspaper reporter and also best friend to main character Sydney Bristow (Jennifer Garner).
Yes Man
Starring along side Jim Carrey, he played Pete, the neglected best friend of the former.
He’s Just Not That Into You
So we thought he was cute until Scarlett Johanssen’s character came along and drove him to cheat.
The A-Team
Bradley plays Face, one of four skilled army rangers who have been framed in this 1983 remake. Together they form the A-Team and bust the baddies to clear their name. Of all the four men, it is he who captures our attention throughout the movie with his playboy, cheeky persona.
New York, I Love You
See Bradley play up his romantic side in one of 11 collective short love stories in this film. Swoon worthy!
Limitless
Fast, intense and agile is how’d we’d describe Bradley as he transforms from a sloppy writer going nowhere to the charismatic, well versed millionaire with the help of a drug called NZT which enhances his brain usage.
The Hangover
Best known for his role in The Hangover (and most recently the sequel), Bradley plays one of three groomsmen who lose their about-to-be-wed buddy during their drunken misadventures in Las Vegas and attempt to retrace their steps in order to find him.
So does Bradley Cooper deserve the coveted Sexiest Man Alive title now? We reckon he’s a tough contender to beat but we forgot to add that the man speaks French fluently and that’s a winner in our books ladies and gentlemen.
Case closed.
