A couple of weeks back, members of the media were invited to the “official glimpse” of the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. The S7 Edge has a refined, sleek design, advanced camera and unparalleled connectivity to a galaxy of products, services and experiences.
After the sneak peek, here just a few reasons why it’s totally worth to beg, steal or borrow (or buy!) the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge:
- The Galaxy S7 Edge introduces the Dual Pixel Camera, perfect for delivering sharper images – even in low light conditions. In fact, the S7 boast the FIRST EVER Dual Pixel Sensor in a smartphone, in the world.
- The Dual-Pixel technology, teamed with brighter lens and wider F1.7 aperture, the camera has a faster shutter speed and autofocus even in the darkest night
- The Galaxy S7 Edge has a battery capacity of 3,600 mAh.
- It also charges a lot faster, 115 minutes on wired charger and 155 minutes on wireless charger.
- It also comes with an built-in cooling system to combat overheating problems. How ”cool” is that?
- 32GB of internal storage – up to 200GB of expandable storage. Say what?!
- IP68 level water and dust-resistance. Yes, that means you can take your phone with you while you shower.
- Its 5.5inch screen is just the right size for our hands.
- The microSD slot also works as a hybrid SIM card tray with dual SIM card slots.
- The Galaxy S7 Edge also seamlessly connects to the new Gear S2 Classic for fitness, and to the Gear VR to “travel” the world.
After a careful presentation by Mr. Go Benn Lee (Product Manager, Mobile & IT Business Unit of Samsung Malaysia Electronics) who got us all excited about the new phone – but refused to take questions to preserve the mystery behind the S7 – we all proceeded to try out the Gear VR Consumer Edition, Samsung’s latest wearable technology where we got to experience events in Barcelona in a fully immersive and cinematic virtual reality. It was almost like we were physically there!
The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is now available for pre-order, and will be in Malaysia from the 18th of March onwards.
