In July last year, a wing fragment from the missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 was found on Reunion Island by Johnny Begue who was cleaning up the shore.
Now, he’s found another possible missing plane piece in the same area, and the suspected object has now been handed over to the police for further investigation.
He was out for a run by the beach an spotted the piece and described the object with a measuring about 40 by 20 centimetres (15 by eight inches), which had a blue mark on the surface and was grey underneath. He said it was the same lightweight “honeycomb” construction as the flaperon piece.
Begue’s discovery was reported as hundreds of people gathered in Kuala Lumpur to commemorate two years since Flight MH370 disappeared on March 8, 2014.
