Melissa has partnered up with multiple big names in fashion design, architecture and art to create compelling shoes using Melflex® for all discerning fashionistas. Designers like Vivienne Westwood, Jason Wu and Alexandre Herchcovitch have invested both their energy and passion to create fashion’s most coveted shoes for Melissa.
The Spring/Summer 2016 ‘Wanna Be Carioca’ theme sees a colourful palette that goes from neon pink, yellow, blue, green and red to the classic white, black and brown. The collection also features signature models by Jason Wu and new shapes by Vivienne Westwood as well as J. Maskrey.
MELISSA + VIVIENNE WESTWOOD – These shoes fuse romanticism and a hint of punk, giving the original Melissa creations a high fashion look. The designer plays with floral and heart prints whilst others feature golden barbed wire and a fig leaf design.
The Vivienne Westwood Anglomania + Melissa Ultragirl XV flats have two distinct applications on its surface: smooth with daises and the other carries a print that mixes flowers and geometric Orbit logos.
MELISSA + JASON WU – Sophistication and romanticism are the solid concept of Wu’s work. Feminine and comfortable, the flats Space Love is covered in lace and finished off with an elegant bow.
MELISSA + ALEXANDER HERCHOVITCH – It has been a solid 10 years that Melissa and Alexander Herchovitch have been partners. This season, two new models are being launched and they’ve recreated the third. The designer is presenting a bigger Flower family, and all the shoes feature 3d patterned flowers.
Launched in the Winter of 2015, the comfortable Alexandre Herchcovitch + Flower Queen flats continue in the Melissa collection, but are featured in primary colours and with delicate flowers on the top, adding romance in the right measure.
MELISSA + CAMPANA BARROCA – The Campana Brothers united Roman art with Brazilian elements that are fondly featured on the Melissa Campana Barroca Sandal. Each shoe texture is created with signature components integrated into the design to serve as symbols of contemporary art.
