There are millions of beauty products out there, and with our super-packed schedule these days, we don’t really have the time to consult a skin care specialist and get personalised beauty advice for our skin. We often rely on advice from friends, which may not be entirely helpful because let’s face it; one woman’s meat is another woman’s poison. We all have different skin types and our skin needs a tailored routine. Don’t you wish there was a Trip Advisor-like app for skin care products?

This is where Favful comes in. Founder of Favful, Sasha Tan, got tired of trial-and-error methods that not only cost her a bomb, but also worsened her skin condition. After that traumatising experience, Sasha empathised with the average beauty shopper, and was committed to creating a platform that would act as an advisor to anyone looking to buy the correct type of beauty product for their skin, and hence, Favful was born.

Sasha wanted to create an environment where women all over the region can make informed purchases. Favful will allow both shoppers and make up artists to make informed decisions, based on reviews and ratings on each product. People waste about over 5000 beauty products in their lifetime, and majority only use 10% of the beauty products they buy, due to making wrong purchases.

“Clearly there is still a gap in the beauty industry when it comes to delivering information. That is why we at Favful are passionate about pairing beauty needs with the convenience of accessible technology.” said Sasha at the launch of the event.

Favful is first-of-its-kind in Southeast Asia, and is curated for beauty lovers and make-up enthusiasts everywhere. Some of the features that users will enjoy are:

  1. Price Comparison – This feature allows users to compare prices from different websites, so you can purchase it from the most reasonable seller
  2. Reviews & Ratings – Below each product, you will find reviews from customers based on skin type and age group
  3. Barcode Scanning – You can pick up any skin care product and scan the barcode with your smartphone, and you will immediately gain access to the reviews of that particular product
  4. Tutorial Videos & Tips – Tutorial videos are available at the comments section, to make it easier for you to learn how to use the product
