The official trailer for Bastille Day is out, and everyone is going bonkers over how perfect Idris Elba is in his role as a CIA agent. If you have ever doubted, even for a second, Elba’s ability to be the next 007, this trailer will put an end to that. We see him gun-firing, roof-jumping, delivering punch lines in a deep, confident voice, so much so that we have all unashamedly melted to the grounds.
In Bastille Day, Elba is a CIA agent trying to prevent a terrorist attack in Paris – what are the odds of that happening – with the sly pick-pocket Robb Stark, the King of North as his side-kick. That’s right, Richard Madden is in it too!
Basically a lot of Idris Elba being awesome, beating up the bad guys, and looking absolutely perfect doing it.
The movie will be out on April 22nd, and clearly Idris Elba is the perfect man to take over Craig’s position at MI6. Watch the trailer here.
