A 200-ft cable that belongs to Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) caught fire yesterday afternoon, disrupting power at the PJ Trade Centre buildings. 11 personnel from the Fire & Rescue Department rushed to the scene upon receiving a distress call about 4.16 pm yesterday.
The fire disrupted electricity and resulted in a power cut at four buildings around the PJ Trade Centre. According to a spokesperson from the Fire & Rescue Department, they managed to control the fire within 10 minutes, with no casualties reported.
A TNB spokesman also told Bernama that repair works are still ongoing, as of 11.30 pm last night.
“The fire started at the basement of one of the buildings and we are still investigating the cause,” he said.
