While the rest of the world is waiting on the news of the arrival of Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s baby girl, the biggest Bollywood news this year was just delivered. Literally! Powerhouse Indian film actor and actress couple Abhishek Bachchan (son of prominent actor, Amitabh Bachchan) and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are now proud parents of a baby girl.
It was reported that Aishwarya Rai checked in to the Seven Hills Hospital in Madrol, Andheri, late Monday for the birth of her first child. Aishwarya was in the hospital’s VIP suite, which consists of a bedroom for the expectant mother, a living room, a kitchen and a toilet.
The countdown was set, and the clock started. The Eastern world, Bollywood, fans, and then some waited patiently for updates on her delivery. And just today, Aishwarya Rai’s overjoyed father-in-law (and now proud grandfather) Amitabh Bachchan tweeted, “I AM DADA to the cutest baby girl!!”
Sounds like an overwhelmed grandfather who simply couldn’t contain himself. How endearing! His son and loving husband to Aishwarya, Abhishek Bachchan, also joined in the celebration via social media by announcing the big news to the world. Twitter was flooded with well wishes for the Bachchans from celebrities and fans alike.
