It has been days after the Screen Actors Guild Award, and everyone is still buzzing on about Susan Saradon’s breasts. The 69 year-old, Oscar winning actress was seen sporting a double-breasted, buttoned-up Max Mara suit with a visible black lacy bra underneath. So what, you say? Exactly. Apart from a handful of sensible people who brushed it off because ALL women have breasts and cleavage, the others took to social media to voice their discontent.
The hateful comments came mostly because Susan Sarandon was delivering the In Memorandum speech for David Bowie, and people complained that her cleavage distracted them from her moving tribute. Some even suggested that she could have changed her clothes prior to her speech. Piers Morgan joined in on the hate, as he tweeted “Very tacky, Mrs. Sarandon”. But ironically, if people accepted and celebrated David Bowie for his rule-defying outfits, why can’t they do the same with Susan Sarandon?
Fortunately, there are also many who are outraged by this outrage–they have voiced their support and showered compliments on Sarandon for managing to retain the youthful appearance of her breasts. Kate Winslet also tried to drown the hate by groping one of Sarandon’s breast while taking photo!
After all, why should she to succumb to the rules of acceptable female behaviour?
Susan Sarandon is a role model to women of all ages, and no matter what anyone says, we think she looked absolutely stunning, and still oozes envy-inducing sex appeal! And oh, Susan, congratulations on that nomination for your role in the Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe.
