Can you believe it, it’s already Oscar season and thanks to HBO Asia we’ll get to catch the Oscars Red Carpet and the 88th Annual Academy Awards live. From the red carpet, to post red carpet highlights and the big event itself!
Reporting live straight from the star-studded 2016 Oscars red carpet, HBO Asia’s Taiwanese-American host, Janet Hsieh, will share the best red carpet moments, pictures and video interviews as they interview Hollywood’s most talented stars right before the show starts. Commentaries in Bahasa Malaysia will also be available, presented exclusively by the charismatic TV personality – Datuk Aznil Hj Nawawi, to ensure that the viewers will get to enjoy a Malaysian run through of the dazzling Oscars Red Carpet in Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.
HBO’s Asia microsite will feature major moments of the ceremony including footages of the audience, behind the scenes, as well as candid moments post award acceptance from the stars that you can’t see anywhere else! The 88th Annual Academy Awards will be hosted by Chris Rock and anticipate performers and presenters – Reese Witherspoon, Kerry Washington, Olivia Munn, Julianne Moore, Lady Gaga and Sam Smith just to name a few!
Catch the 88th Annual Academy Awards live on HBO / HBO HD (Astro Ch 411 / 431) this February 29, starting with the Oscars Red Carpet ‘Live’ at 8am (same night primetime encore at 7pm), and the 88th Annual Academy Awards ‘Live’ at 9.30am (same night primetime encore at 8pm). Also streamed live on Astro On The Go, and viewers can also catch up at their convenience with On Demand (OD).
