Last week, we travelled down to Puteri Harbour in Johor to witness the official launch of Time.Together – an initiative aimed at encouraging the public to visit Puteri Harbour and spend quality time with their family and friends.
Located strategically in Iskandar Puteri (formerly known as Nusajaya), Puteri Harbour is a premier lifestyle hub with various family-friendly dining, entertainment and leisure offerings. This initiative leverages Puteri Harbour’s unique showcases to foster better personal connections and to address the lack of face-to-face interaction in this fast-moving digital era.
Aside from waterfront dining outlets and retail outlets, Puteri Harbour is also the home to the popular Sanrio Hello Kitty Town and Thomas Town. The Sanrio Hello Kitty Town is a definite must-visit for all Hello Kitty fans around the globe as they’d get to step into an exciting world of all things Hello Kitty and enjoy live appearances, character parades, daily attractions, photo sessions and more.
As for accommodation at Puteri Harbour, there’s the 4-star Hotel Jen that features spacious and contemporary rooms with all the possible amenities you’ll need, as well as Somerset Puteri Harbour, which is an apartment boasting from studios to three-bedroom units that come fully furnished.
In collaboration with Hotel Jen, Puteri Harbour is also working on exclusively designed Hello Kitty themed hotel rooms which will be available to the public later this year. Currently, this project features eight Hello Kitty themed hotel rooms, but an expansion is probable in the near future.
We had an exclusive sneak peek into one of the Hello Kitty themed hotel rooms and we’re absolutely blown away! The swanky room is decked out in dark pink walls embellished with Hello Kitty wall decals, and equipped with many Hello Kitty themed decor and furnishings. Our favourite part of the room has to be the lush bed with chic pink bedding and a grand Hello Kitty headboard.
Another highlight at Puteri Harbour would be the Marina, which is recognised amongst the global sailing community as one of the must-sail destinations around the world. The Puteri Harbour International Ferry Terminal also provides an alternative point of entry for international tourists, with ferry services to Tanjung Balai and Batam, Indonesia as of now.
For a more momentous visit to Puteri Harbour, we’d suggest renting a boat for a leisure ride along the straits of the Johor-Singapore border nearby the Tuas checkpoint, and beyond. Our boat ride onboard the Black Pearl was fantastic, and it would surely be an exhilarating experience for everyone in the family. There’s more to gaze at during the day, but the sight at nighttime is simply remarkable and we’d suggest the latter for sure. It’s also
On a monthly basis, Puteri Harbour also hosts its signature outdoor carnival called the Port of Call that features pop-up music, tons of art and a street market, encapsulating all of the harbour’s offerings in a single event.
There’s just so much to see and do at Puteri Harbour; so if you haven’t already visited this lifestyle destination, do so now!
Puteri Harbour is located near the Senai International Airport and Singapore’s Changi International Airport as well as as four international seaports and the Puteri Harbour International Ferry Terminal.
