The new year is here and it’s time to set some goals and really make a change. Often, it’s really hard to keep up with unrealistic new year resolutions but this year let’s keep it simple and just aim to be the better versions of ourselves.

Here are the 5 things you can do this year:

Care less – Care more for yourself and your goals but not what others think of you. When you allow people to dictate your life through what they think of you then you will only end up being miserable and not feeling good enough. Care less about what people think because most of them don’t really care, they are just being self-righteous.

Eat healthier – It’s not that hard to look after your body. Why not start your “lose weight this year” resolution by eating healthy instead of aiming to lose 20kgs and end up losing none? It all starts with the right eating habits. This doesn’t mean you can’t indulge in a brownie every now and then.

Take your time – Don’t feel pressured by where your friends are in life. Some may be doing better than you are and others are not, but whatever it is take your own time to reach the goals you have set for yourself. Progress is not a race, people!

Cleanse away – Get rid of fake friends, fake people, and anything that attracts even the slightest bit of negative energy into your life. Make this year all about positivity and getting ahead in life.

Learn from the past – I think that’s the most important thing of all. Whatever happened last year, make sure you learn from it because if you don’t learn from your past mistakes and take in the lessons they taught you then you’re not really growing.
