In conjunction with Monopoly’s 80th anniversary on 10 December, Quill City Mall launched its Christmas themed life-size Monopoly board game. It allows players to toss a giant dice and move their tokens around the board, avoiding the dreaded “Go to Jail” square. Needless to say, it’s a breath of fresh air in our digital era, and it brings back nostalgic memories.
To have a go at the Monopoly board game, shoppers have to spend a minimum of RM50 in a single receipt. There are also tons of special promotions and offerings for all to enjoy from the tenants. One of the mall’s special giveaway is the redemption of Monopoly’s enamel mug by spending of RM150 in a single receipt (RM100 for Maybank card members*).
As Christmas is the season of giving, Quill City Mall invited 57 underprivileged children from Rumah Kanak-Kanak Angel’s Kuala Lumpur, Ti-Ratana Welfare Society Malaysia and Precious Children Home to celebrate the wonderful time of the year, and enjoy rounds of fun-filled games on the Monopoly board, followed by a movie at Golden Screen Cinemas.
Other exciting activities include ‘Meet & Greet’ sessions with Mr. Monopoly, Santa Claus, Magician and Clowns as well as Christmas Carolling on the 25, 26 and 27 December 2015. Visitors to Quill City Mall will truly be immersed in a Christmas-themed utopia filled with fun and excitement for all ages.
