Founded in London in October 2013, Urban Veda is a new skincare range that is formulated based on the ancient principles of Ayurveda’s holistic health and wellbeing system. All the products are developed with therapeutic properties of plants, and without parabens, artificial colours, Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, or genetically modified ingredients.
As we go through our daily lives, environmental factors take a toll on the health of our skin, and our lifestyles are often mirrored by in our skin. For this reason, Urban Veda’s has formulated its products using natural ingredients in a relevant way for 21st century skincare issues to leave the skin less vulnerable to the environment.
As a company that is committed to sustaining biodiversity and is against animal testing, Urban Veda only uses natural exfoliants like pumice and crushed pomegranate seeds in its facial polish and body scrub, instead of plastic micro-beads. Other than that, its outer packaging, tubes and jars are made of post consumer resin (recycled plastic bottles).
Taking into account the various different skin types that are available, Urban Veda has four lines of skincare and body care products:
Purifying – Ayurvedic Neem infused with bioactive botanicals of Wild Mint, Eucalyptus and Witch Hazel to detoxify, refresh and purify oil-prone, congested skin.
Reviving – Ayurvedic Rose imbued with organic Pomegranate juice, Rose Damask flower water, Evening Primrose and enriching Jasmine to plump and revive tired and mature skin.
Soothing – Ayurvedic Sandalwood, Ylang Ylang, organic Aloe Vera and Arjuna Heartwood to provide vital skin clarification from this skin-restoring botanical collection.
Radiance – Ayurvedic Turmeric with a botanical infusion of Marigold, Patchouli and Coriander to revitalise lacklustre complexions, lock in moisture and help skin to retain its natural glow. Ideal for dry, dull dehydrated skin.
