Ed Sheeran just broke the news to his 5.5 million Instagram followers, 16-million strong Twitter page and on his official Facebook fan page that he’s signing offline and taking a break from social media.
In the post, the British singer vows to ‘stop seeing the world through a screen’ and tells his fans that his third album is in the works and assures them that the album “is the best thing” he has made thus far.
He also wrote that he’d be returning to the Internet “next Autumn”. Not gonna lie; we’d really miss his cute selfies though (e.g. the one above!).
Do you think his hiatus from social media will affect his popularity? We doubt it.
