With the Holiday season drawing close, Lipstiq and Lancôme decided to pair up, and test out their holiday look with just 5 key products from the brand. The result: A subtle and classy look, perfect for that Christmas dinner with your loved ones. Curious to find out how you can achieve this style? Just read on to find out which products you should be using:
First up, before anything else we applied the Lancôme’s Advanced Génifique Youth Activating Serum to give the skin a moisture boost and to smoothen the skin. By applying this #1 serum by Lancôme, you will also find that it gives a very subtle but much needed glow to your face. It’s not greasy, so you won’t really feel it underneath the makeup that is applied on right after.
Right after the serum has set in, we applied primer, some sunscreen (which is always important), and foundation. For the foundation we used the Cushion Compact by Lancôme, which gave overall coverage. It also gives a very natural dewy look, without making you feel like your face is oily, which is what we love most about it. We also can’t get enough of the slight cooling effect it has on our skin!
Once we were done with setting the base, we moved on to the more fun phase of the holiday look. To give some colour to the face, we used the special edition Christmas Blusher and really made the cheeks stand out, but not too much that it leaves one looking like a clown. We love the shade of this blusher because it’s not too intense and it’s a delicate shade of rose pink.
For the eyes, we began with the Christmas Palette For Eyes and Lips, and let me be the first to tell you just how awesome this special edition item is from Lancôme. It’s got six gorgeous eyeshadow shades, two lip colours that are different hues of red and a lip primer, all in one palette. Talk about convenience!
Anyway, moving along… To give a subtle but done-up look to the eyes, we started off with the gold shade in the inner corner of the eyes to open them up, and we then proceeded to the darker brown shade and then blended the colours together. This gives the dramatic look without being too overpowering. Please not that we used the wet technique by mixing some water on the cotton bud and mixing it with the eyeshadow.
To add some more drama to the eyes, we used Lancoôme best-selling and super popular mascara, the Grandiôse, which truly helps add volume to your lashes and really create an intense eye look. We love this mascara because all it takes is one coat and you’ve got yourself some beautiful and curly lashes!
Lastly, we apply some lip concealer before applying the brighter shade of red on the lips, followed by the darker red. This red lip shades completes the entire holiday look. If you’ve got a fancy Christmas dinner or party happening, this look is definitely the one to go for!
