Adele fans, we have got some bad news for you, so we hope you have a bag ready to throw up in. With her album just been released, it’s been confirmed that the British singer will join Taylor Swift by not making her new album available for streaming on Spotify or Apple Music. Yeah, we did warn you it was bad!
According to The New York Times: “With less than 24 hours before the album’s release on Friday, the major digital services have been told that ’25’ will not be made available for streaming, according to three people with direct knowledge of the plans for the release.”
It’s been rumoured that Adele was personally involved with making this big decision but a spokesman for the singer refused to confirm.
Of course, we understand why Adele may be doing this because 25 is expected to sell more than 2.5 million copies in the US alone for the first week of its release. This album has been long-anticipated that they know people will actually spend money on buying the actual CD. Sure, we’re upset that we can’t add songs from her new album to our streaming playlists but we totally get it, Adele.
