Most of us have scars that hold memories or lessons, whether good or painful. For that reason, Bio-Oil has unveiled its My Scar My Story campaign that aims to unite women via an online platform in sharing their scar stories and solutions to inspire others who are experiencing emotional distress due to scars.
Scars often carry psychological effects that could lead to depression and the development of anti-social behaviours. This shows that scarring is an issue that has to be addressed. Through My Scar My Story, Bio-Oil hopes to help women cope with their scars proactively by voicing out and to inspire others who are suffering emotionally and physically due to scars.
To further help women cope with scars, Bio-Oil has collaborated with Dr Nazirin Ariffin, a renowned dermatologist from Pantai Hospital to offer professional advice and tips on scar management via the microsite. Dr Nazirin also noted that the management of scarring extends far beyond wound care. These patients also require optimal advice and emotional guidance.
Bio-Oil is clinically proven to improve the appearance of scars with nourishing plant extracts such as Chamomile, Lavender, Rosemary and Calendula oils, together with Vitamins A & E and the breakthrough ingredient-PurCellin Oil™, which delivers ingredients into the skin without a greasy feeling. With continuous use, Bio-Oil lightens, reduces and minimises the scars.
The 2-month campaign will end on December 31st and three best scar stories will be selected to enjoy a Luxury Retreat Package at a 5-star resort for two worth up to RM10,000 and a consultative session with Dr Nazirin Ariffin. There will also be weekly prizes for the five most inspiring stories of the week.
