For the past month or so, there was so much buzz, there were so many speculations. But last night was the night that a lot of us have been waiting for. And many have wondered, “Will he actually be here?”
It’s official – Michael Kors’ boutique has opened its doors in the prestigious shopping mall, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, to doting fans and lovers of big city fashion. If you’re a fan yourself, then you’re no different from celebrities such as Dianna Agron, Gwyneth Paltrow, Rachel McAdams, and Heidi Klum, who have all sworn by his ultra-luxe evening gowns.
Last night, we witnessed the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the store and were exceedingly overjoyed when the 51-year-old Michael Kors himself was present for the official launch! When asked, he said, “I love the vibrant energy and constant buzz of the Bukit Bintang district and needless to say, it’s the perfect home for my first Malaysian store”.
The event was filled out with the most gorgeous Malaysians such as Amber Chia, Ning Baizura, Hunny Madu, so on and so forth. Glasses of champagne came in endless trays as the beautiful people awed at Michael Kors’ luxurious goods and accessories with a bubbly in hand. It was as though Michael Kors brought our local Beverly Hills to life!
“Michael Kors is an ever-growing brand with a great global presence. We are pleased to bring in the first Michael Kors duplex flagship store to Malaysia and offer women in this part of the world a new, exciting brand to jazz up their wardrobes”, Ashvin Valiram, Executive Director of Valiram Group said.
And mind you, this is only the first of the Michael Kors’ chain of stores. Word on the street is that Valiram Group already has plans to open several Michael Kors stores over the next five years. So, look out, Malaysia!
