Everyone wants to grab the biggest plate in the cupboard. I mean, why go for many rounds when you can get all the food you want in one huge plate. The sad thing is, most of the food we pick aren’t the healthiest options and most likely the source of all those extra calories.
But, guess what? That habit (yeah, that habit of picking the biggest plate) is actually responsible for an extra 500 calories a day. A research done by the Univertsity of Cambridge, where they examined results from 61 different studies, revealed that “people consistently consume more food and drink when offered larger-sized portions, packages or tableware than when offered smaller-sized versions.“
Well, we’re not that surprised by the results but we are definitely guilty. Yikes!
