We now have a scientific reason to back up our obsession over Cara Delevingne’s iconic eyebrows. 😀
According to Jean Carruthers, a clinical professor of ophthalmology, eyebrows have become a big way we communicate expressions, gender identity and age. What they look like and how they move have a social function that we subconsciously utilise.
If the eyebrows aren’t present, it really messes up the visual system designed to find and read faces. Eyebrows really are the facial signature that aids us in recognising people, and evidently, this proves why having distinct brows inevitably helps the person stand out (cue Cara!).
We cannot agree more!
