Now there really is nothing in the world like a music festival – be it a rave or a blues music festival or a rock fest, there really is nothing like it. Seeing your favourite musicians and being surrounded by thousands of other fans make for an experience that cannot be duplicated anywhere else – it’s over the moon!

As fans, we save up our money, we wait and when the day, weekend or week comes: we go all out. Painted faces, crazy outfits and crazier shenanigans because it’s time for us to leave the world behind and just indulge in good live music. Music festivals are huge events and they happen all over the world.

Here’s our pick of 10 music festivals that you should go to – if not this year, at least once in your life.

Note: The festivals are arranged in chronological order.
