The popular Malaysian creative arts festival, Urbanscapes will be celebrating its twelfth year with a series of satellite shows and a bunch of parties that will be hosted throughout November, before its full-fledged festival on December 6th at the Horse Rance, Resorts World Genting Highlands. For those who are looking forward to this yearly event, don’t worry as plenty of accomodation and transportation options will be made available for you to choose from.
As of this release, organisers have confirmed Scottish synthpop bandChvrches (“Recover,” “Lies”), for an exclusive Urbanscapes Satellite Show at 7 pm, Nov 19 at KL Live.
Festival-goers can look forward to Los Angele-based indie rock band Local Natives (“Gorilla Manor”, “Heavy Feet”) to perform at the Horse Ranch. Legendary American college rock The Lemonheads will also be performing alongside Local Natives. They became famous for their rendition of Simon & Garfunkel’s “Mrs Robinson” when it was used in Martin Scorsese’s 2013 film “The Wolf of Wall Street”.
Fans who can’t seem to get enough of our local talents will be pleased to know that OJ Law (“Fantastic Adventure”, “Tongue-Tied”), Ali Aiman (“Breathe”), and Najwa (“Got to Go”, “Before”) will also be performing.
