A two-metre long plane wreckage resembling a part of a wing washed up on the French Indian Ocean island of La Reunion, sparking speculation that it could be part of the missing Malaysian Airlines MH370 flight.
Found by people cleaning up the beach, French air transport officials have already begun a probe to investigate where the wreckage possibly came from.
The plane disappeared en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with 239 people on board in March last year and according to aviation security experts, the wreckage found resembles a #B777 flaperon of a Boeing 777, which is the type of plane that vanished.
They are currently looking into the reference code found on the wreckage and are trying to identify its source. An answer should be available in a few days time.
