Last week was our second début of Lipstiq’s Man of The Week, and we’re back! By popular demand here’s our third pick of the week! If you don’t already know what we’re talking about, let me give you a little insight. We have searched high and low and we’ve short listed some of the most charming, good looking, career driven and passionate men in our homeland.
This week, Lipstiq.com’s man of the week, we have the charismatic and cheeky restaurant manager as well as a Liverpool fanatic, Alberthus Petrus.
Name: Alberthus Petrus
Age: 29
Occupation: Restaurant Manager
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself, what you do etc.
I’m from East Malaysia, a proud Bornean and 29 this year. I’m a restaurant manager, I love football, cars, shoes, tattoos and alcohol! Haha! I’m quite an organised person, but the irony about that I do not like planning at all. Hope that make sense. I would like to say I’m the joker in the group of friends I hang out with but my boys are equally funny. Was a hotelier for nine years, and it was the best nine years of my life. Last but not least, the highlight of my career was representing Meridien’s “Taste of discovery 2010” coffee challenge at the Univesity of Coffee, Illy factory, Italy. It was an awesome experience.
2. What tickles your fancy?
Tattoos. Girls with tattoos just hits the spot!
3. What makes you want to get it on?
A couple of beers and a bottle of whisky. There’s just something about the taste of beer, whisky or even wine that gets me every time. Haha!
4. Have you always been interested the F&B line?
That’s a tough one. Well, it wasn’t something I’ve been planning or see myself doing. I’ve always wanted to do design, so yeah it’s pretty far off from what I’m doing right now. I think when you started off working at a tender age of 18 years old, it grows on you. I’ve been a hotelier for nine years, then I took the leap of faith, left my comfort zone and went into something different like handling a restaurant. I’m forever grateful for the opportunities and the experiences I’ve gained for the past nine years.
5. What do you love most about a girl’s sense of style?
Whatever she’s wearing, she looks good in it.
6. Tell us a little bit about your tattoos. Which is your favourite?
I got my first tattoo when I was 19, perfectly legal. So, it’s been almost 10 years and I have only 4 to date. I wanted to get more but working in the hospitality line kind of restrict you when it comes to body modification. As for my favourite tattoo, it has to be the tattoo on my left sleeve. It’s a piece that represents and is a reminder that no matter what, my brothers and my best friend will always have my back.
7. What is about a girl you love the most?
I personally think physical beauty doesn’t last forever. Cliché as it may sound, the inner beauty of the girl is what I love the most. There’s nothing sexier than a girl that respects my family and who is there with me at the highest and lowest points in life.
8. Who would you rather have drive you around – Rihanna or Kesha?
Kesha. Cause she’s wild and trashy! It’s not that I like trashy girls but a guy could always dream.
9. If you could be any alcoholic beverage, what will that be and why?
It would be beer! haha! The reason why is because it’s not only available in most eateries, bars and clubs, it’s also smooth and easy to drink. And the other reason is because most of my friends think I’m too friendly at times and they always see me drinking beer. I hope that made sense.
10. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Well, I see myself having a family of my own and a successful career. Haha, I know I sound old and boring. 🙂
