The 23-year-old star almost repeated her back-to-back Oscars falls on Saturday at the X-Men: Days of Future Past premiere in New York City.
The sweetheart, who looked flawless in a shimmering blue Jason Wu dress, couldn’t hide her distress as she lost her balance walking up a flight of stairs.
Thankfully, two helpful assistants were within arms reach and helped J.Law steady herself to avoid another tripping episode.
Some have accused the Hunger Games: Mockingjay actress of playing up her niceness and faking these public pratfalls, but apparently that’s not the case!
“I’m trying to do the right thing, waving to fans, trying to be nice, and there’s a traffic cone,” she told Marie Claire about her last Academy Awards accident. “The second I hit it, I was laughing, but on the inside I was like, ‘You’re f–ked. They’re totally going to think this is an act …'”
“But trust me if I was going to plan it, I would have done it at the Golden Globes or the SAGs,” she said. “I would have never done it at two Oscars in a row. I watch Homeland—I’m craftier than that!”
