Facebook-owned Instagram just launched a new feature that allows users to send disappearing photos and videos to their followers and yes, if it sounds oddly familiar, it’s exactly what Snapchat does.
Through the feature, Instagrammers can now send expiring content to individual friends, or groups through a direct message. After the photo or video is viewed, it will disappear. Just like Snapchat, senders will also be able to check whether or not the receiver has sneaked a screenshot, or replayed anything.
