Nurul Izzah Anwar became a highly-respected woman in Malaysia as Pakatan Rakyat’s Vice President. And while her work passion in improving the lives of Malaysians seems to be going quite well, it appears that her marriage has not been so rosy.
Reports have confirmed that Nurul Izzah and her husband Raja Ahmad Shahrir Iskandar Raja Salim are already headed for divorce.
According to The Star:
It’s confirmed that Lembah MP Nurul Izzah Anwar has filed a divorce petition against her husband, Raja Ahmad Shahrir Iskandar Raja Salim at the lower Syariah Court at Jalan Duta.
It is said that Nurul Izzah sought the divorce under Fasakh (to annul the marriage) in late December through a petition at the Syariah Court.
Her husband is believed to have received the petition on January 16, sought a two-week postponement of the matter to prepare his case.
