For all console gamers out there, we bring great news as the PlayStation 4 will be released this year in Malaysia on December 20th!
Dominic Mallinson, Sony’s Vice President of Research and Development for PlayStation said, “We realised with PS3 that we could do so much more.”
“The PS3 is a great product and a great success – but it caused us to stop and think. And we learned a lot of lessons, and some of these lessons we’ve applied now in our design of PlayStation 4,” he added.
The shift from PlayStation 2 to PlayStation 3 has been revolutionary based on the changes made in these two PlayStations. What we definitely want to know is what we would get from paying RM 1,799 for the latest piece of technology. Therefore, without further ado, let’s take a look the differences between a PS3 and PS4.
Besides the changes in looks for the PS4, the latest PlayStation can turn the device into a PC, except for the special memory that runs faster than a typical PC. Mallison said, “The PS4 is not a supercomputer although it is a pretty amazing piece of technology.”
Just like any other upgrade, the new PlayStation runs nine times faster than the PS3 with AMD Jaguar 64-Bit, 2GHz 8 Core and 2Tflops speed. Sony has also upgraded the PS4 with a bigger memory as well as changed to Radeon graphics from NVIDIA. This definitely proves that the graphics for the PS4 are remarkably better and smoother, to provide the best gaming experience for console gamers.
Let’s check out the differences in gameplays between the PS3 and PS4 here! But before you do, you may want to switch the resolution of the video to full HD.
