Women who wear glasses seem to have a hard time trying to figure out what kind of makeup look works without having their glasses get in the way with all that effort. Some of us sport glasses all the time, so we’ve decided to share some of our everyday looks with you four-eyed girls!
Go Neutral
Women tend to forget their glasses are their best accessory. So, keep your eye makeup simple with clean, neutral shades, or nothing at all. Line the inner corners of your eye with a eyeliner pencil and top with mascara. Keep your cheeks flushed and peachy, and coat your lips with a layer of tinted lip balm. We used the Fresh Sugar Petal Lip Treatment that gives off a skin tone neutral pink hue.
Smoke Out
If you want a smokey eye, opt for gray or taupe tones as they don’t stand out too much. There’s no need to go the full-monty of contouring but some simple blending should suffice. Avoid using eyeshadows with glitter as it’ll appear tacky. For a more natural touch, use a rose-hued lip color or a tinted lip balm. We used kept it simple with a taupe using Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Shadow, and blending it with our fingers.
Simply Bold
A bold lip color can be your perfect every look, especially if you like to keep it low maintenance. Whether it’s dark oxblood lips, or a electric magenta, keep it simple around the eyes with just a few coats of lengthening mascara. A pair of burgundy lips makes after-work wine sessions extremely elegant. We used Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Cutting Edge (120).
The Classic Secretary
Let’s go retro! The simple combination of polished red lips and a classic cat eye is all the ammo you need for this look. Don’t forget to exfoliate those lips and work with a creamy lipstick to achieve the perfect pout. Achieve a classic cat eye with precision by using Stila’s Stay All Day “Waterproof Liquid Liner” in Intense Black.
Stila and Fresh is available in Sephora Malaysia. Rimmel is available in all pharmacies nationwide
