On top of the birth of his daughter with baby-momma Kim Kardashian, Kanye West has more to celebrate now as his new album, Yeezus has finally been released!
Hailed as one of the most highly-anticipated albums of 2013, there a number of reasons to love Yeezus. From huge collaborations like Daft Punk, Chief Keef and Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, Kanye flaunts his talent as the master of incorporating samples into his music, like Billie Holiday’s “Strange Fruit” on Blood on the Leaves”.
Call it narcissism or a God complex, but prior to the release of Yeezus, Kanye organized a Yeezus-listening session with A-list guests like Jay-Z, Beyonce, Busta Rhymes, Timbaland and more.
Rolling Stones magazine called Yeezus an album “full of rattling 808s, electro clatter, waves of fuzz and heart-racing BPMs”. And believe it or not, we really have to agree.
You can also watch Kanye’s American Psycho-inspired short film in lieu with the release of Yeezus here, starring the talents of Kim Kardashian’s connections, Scott Disick and Jonathan Cheban.
The album received such great response that it hit #1 in 31 countries including Malaysia, the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore and Italy!
