Growing out your bangs can be tricky. For the most part, it’s in this awkward ‘neither-here-nor-there’ position where it’s too long to put it over your forehead, and to short to tie it all up in a bunch. What’s worst, you’re not planning on getting it trimmed so a haircut is not an option. If you’re having trouble on what you want to pair with your look, here are five cool ways to style your bangs as you’re letting them grow.
Don’t forget to massage the scalp of your bangs each day to allow blood circulation. That way, they grow healthily!
1. Change the Parting
A simple way to change your hair style while your bangs grow out is to simply change the part to the side. It’ll change your look in an instant without have to result to too much change. When your hair is wet, just comb it to the side and then use a blow-dryer to dry it the direction you want. Heat will help smooth out the kinks and the direction of your hair.
2. Braid It
If you’re not great with braids, worry not because you can braid your bangs with just two strands. Just separate two strands and then weave two sections of the hair to the side with some bobby pins, and then smooth it over with some smoothing cream or gel.
3. Accessorize Your Bangs
Pins, brooches and clips are your best friends if you want to add a little more style to your bangs. Stack a few pins a row, or put on a special flower clip to add some glow to your summer look.
4. Sweep it to the Side
If you have blunt bangs, take a leap of faith and grab a pair of sharp scissors and slightly round up one side so that it’ll look like side-swept bangs as they grow.
5. Wear it Back
Sadly, tying your hair all up in a bunch when you have bangs can be impossible. This is where a flat iron and some smoothing cream will come in handy. Iron your hair back in the direction you opt for, and then smooth it down with some anti-frizz creme.
