Dark circles are probably the most unattractive thing that can happen to your face! The main causes of these are usually lack of sleep, stress, fatigue and nasal congestion (a blocked nose can result in dark circles under your eyes because the veins around your sinuses are darkened and dilated) as well as aging. Make up can conceal them but what about on days you don’t really feel like putting on make up to try and cover the dark circles? Here are a few tips and tricks using natural remedies for long term benefits to get rid of black circles ( and some even work for eye bags and puffiness!)
1. Used tea bags.
Tea bags work great! You can also use green tea. After making your afternoon tea, keep the bags in the fridge overnight, so that it’ll be all cool and nice when you use it. Just put it below your eyes for about 20 minutes (you can do 10 minutes as well but we recommend 20 for better results). Tea has properties that help circulation so veins won’t be dark and tense.
2. Potato slice.
Slice and cut in halves, and keep in the fridge to cool. Potato is actually used for a lot of eye creams and products, as the actual properties in potassium is good for dark circles. The actual properties potassium is good for dark circles. Like the tea bags, just put it below your eyes for about 20 minutes, usually this is best done in the mornings.
3. Drink water.
This is such a common advice for almost everything! Drinking eight to ten glasses of water is essential as it helps toxins out of your cells, making them healthy. Drinking water will also ensure your skin is radiant and helps keep it hydrated.
4. Vitamin C.
Vitamin C is also essential in removing dark under-eye circles. Vitamin C increases collagen, removes free radicals from the skin and protects the skin against damage from the sun. Eating oranges, taking supplements or vitamin-C infused drinks can help improve not just the dark circles but also make your skin glow.
5. Cucumber
We’ve seen these in movies, magazines and any visual that is spa related. Putting sliced cucumber on your eyes is not just for the movies, it actually works! Like the potatoes, you need to keep them in the fridge overnight before you put them on your eyes. This will help reduce puffiness and help tighten the under eye area as well.
