22 bodies of Sulu gunmen were found in three operation areas in Semporna and Felda Sahabat. Four of them were brought out from Simunul water village in Semporna, and sixteen recovered in Tanjung Batu, while another two were found in Kampung Tanduo.
Datuk Hamza Taib, Sabah police commissioner said that all bodies were taken to Tawau and Lahad Datu Hospital. To date, a total of 54 Sulu gunmen were killed since the first clash on March 1st. 97 people, who are believed to have links with Sulu terrorists have been arrested for investigation. (Source)
In the meantime, Malaysian security forces in Semporna have also nabbed four men believed to be invovled in the killing of six policemen in Simunul on March 2nd.
Security personnel also picked up 29 others, who claimed to be sympathizers of the terrorist groups.
