A recent announcement shared on the government’s official Twitter page revealed the suitable vaccines for pregnant and breastfeeding women.
The statement reads that the safest vaccine for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers is Pfizer.
Pregnant mothers who are 14 to 33 weeks pregnant can be vaccinated with Pfizer. However, it’s not safe nor recommended for pregnant mothers to be vaccinated with Astra Zeneca or Sinovac.

Sinovac is highly not recommended for expecting and breast feeding mommies!
This is merely due to, insufficient data and research to support if Sinovac is suitable for women who are conceived or breastfeeding because if they are vaccinated during either one of these stages, the vaccine could be transmitted into the body of the baby.
Consequently, to avoid any detrimental results, it’s safe to not take the risk.
Nevertheless, mothers who are breast feeding can be vaccinated with either Pfizer and Astra Zeneca.
Vaccine plays are huge role in our overall body function and immune system. Thus, please be aware of its side effects and repercussions before choosing your desired vaccination.
Speak to your doctor if you’re expecting or in the midst of trying to conceive before being vaccinated!
