Yes, yes yes to new emojis!
The group in charge of the way emojis work, the Unicode Consortium, announced recently that it has accepted 37 new emoji characters for next year’s update. Amongst the 37 new emojis, one is a taco emoji. A TACO!

– Face with rolling eyes
– Thinking face
– Face with head bandage
– Prayer beads
– Place of worship
– Taco
– Bottle with popping cork
– Unicorn face
– Popcorn
– Table tennis paddle and ball
– Volleyball
– Badminton racquet and birdie
There’s no fixed date on when these new emojis would be released, but Unicode 8.0 would be available in year 2015 and it could possibly include the emoji update.
