Packing before a vacation can be a real challenge to accomplish, and it’s especially difficult if you want to pack the right stuff. We tend to overpack for a short trip, and some of us even pack so much that we forget the essentials. So, to ensure that you don’t find yourself in a pickle like that, here are the four important steps to packing like a pro!
List: Make a list of all the things you will need on this trip then check it as you begin to pack things, this should help you leave out the unnecessary stuff that you are just picking up for the sake of it. After writing your list go over it a few times to make sure you are not being inefficient.
Roll: Roll your clothes in stead of folding them. It creates more space in your bag for more to fit and it means less creases. Also, rolling will take less time than folding so you will be done packing sooner.
Reuse: Take garments that you can use more than once on your trip. For example, if packing a pair of sandals, pack a nude pair so you can take them from day to night with any outfit. Take garments that are easily dressed up and down with jewellery or choice of footwear.
Hand luggage: Use your hand luggage allowance to your advantage by taking a tote onboard with you in stead of a measly handbag. This will give you more storage space and you will probably also be thankful that you brought a load of stuff with you once you’re on the flight and after something!
