Like some of her other colleagues, Miranda started her modeling career in the fashion industry at a very young age. At 13, she was already one of the models for for Chaay’s Modeling Agency in Australia. Soon after, she went on to win a 1997 nationwide model search hosted by Dolly magazine and Impulse fragrances and it catapulted her to fame.
Her popularity is all thanks to her dimples, which complemented her cherubic good looks. It’s no wonder how Miranda became the first Australian model to be offered a contract with Victoria’s Secret in 2007 to replace superstar supermodel Gisele Bündchen. You might also know her as Alessandra Ambrosio’s successor as the face of Victoria’s Secret’s “PINK”.
In the recent years, Miranda Kerr continues to sign on as the face of many brands including Arden B, Clinique, and Kora Organic Skincare. The lucrative deals that she has signed has made her one of the world’s highest-paid models, with estimated earnings of USD3 million (RM9.1 million).
But her duty as supermodel extends beyond just modeling alone because on the 6th of January 2011, a little boy named Flynn Christopher Blanchard Copeland Bloom was born and now, Miranda Kerr juggles between her thriving modeling career and mommy duties.
She now gushes about how being a mommy have impacted her life and how motherhood has made her a new and improved Miranda Kerr.
“With Flynn, I went through a natural birth. I wanted to experience it so it was done without drugs or painkillers and it was a long, arduous and difficult labor. Having said that, motherhood is the best things I’ve ever done, really.”
“There are no words to describe the happiness and joy I feel when I see my son smile in the morning. He’s my little ray of sunshine.”
“He comes with me to work a lot, to photoshoots. So, I wake up in the morning, I feed him, and then he’ll have his nap before coming to see me at lunch time. When he wakes up again for a few hours, he can play, and it’s always so nice to have him around.”
“I really want to spend as much time as possible with him. Just enjoy it you know because babies, they just grow up so quickly. He’s laughing, he’s smiling, and already he’s almost a year old and he’s like crawling around. It feels like yesterday when he was just born!”
“Motherhood, and becoming a mother puts everything into perspective. You become more comfortable in your own skin. And I’d say Flynn is my little man. He makes me happy.”
This year, Miranda Kerr rocks the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2011 in the the show-stopping “Fantasy Treasure” bra worth USD25 million (RM7.75 million). The super hottie continued to shine as a Victoria’s Secret Angel despite having given birth just months before.
