There have been whispers that a certain label from New York is coming to our shores, and we’ve gotten the rumour confirmed! Proenza Schouler will be available in September, when Club 21 opens its first multi-label store here in Kuala Lumpur. The womenswear and accessories brand was founded by designer duo Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, and shot to fashion fame when it was awarded with the CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund award in 2004. Since then, Proenza Schouler has established itself in the fashion industry with two CFDA Womenswear Designer of the Year awards, and even has its own signature bag, the PS1, which is a must-have for the young and hip in New York City.
Are you curious about the Club 21 multi-label store? Our sources tell us that it’ll be located at Level 3, Pavilion shopping mall and is set to open its doors in September, in conjunction with Club 21’s 40th anniversary. Apart from Proenza Schouler, Club 21 will also be bringing other womenswear designer brands such as Alexander Wang, Alexander McQueen, Jil Sander, Lanvin, 3.1 Philip Lim, Stella McCartney, Paco Rabanne, Comme Comme, and more. Your other half will have to wait until later this year for the menswear collections to come in.
