Death is definitely not the easiest of subjects to teach kids about. When I was a little girl, my hamster named Aladdin decided to get out of its cage and take a 5-storey plunge down.
It was really hard for my parents to explain to me why that had happened and I couldn’t understand why a fat and happy hamster would jump off our balcony. It didn’t make sense but it was still very traumatic for me.
This kid is totally different. He manages to keep it together as he literally kisses his dead goldfish goodbye before giving it the funeral it deserves — being flushed down the toilet.
But I suppose he can only keep it together for so long because once his beloved goldfish disappeared down the toilet, he begins to cry and it’s just one of the most adorably sad things you will see all week:
