A few days after we threw our summer party, the rainy season seemed to have started with a daily appearance of grey clouds and rainy evenings – quite the opposite of the sunny day of Lipstiq.com’s Summer Soiree. On August 17th, the lucky readers who managed to win a pair of invitations to our second on-ground event came to Hilton PJ Hotel’s poolside dressed in colourful, chic summer outfits to celebrate the last days of summer at our closed-door, private party.
After an opening speech by our Editor-in-Chief, Elfie Jane, the summer party kicked off with a lingerie fashion show by Sorella Malaysia. Renee Teng, Sorella’s Marketing Executive, introduced the lingerie collection and also said a few words on the functions and benefits of the individual pieces.
The second fashion show featured re-styled tees by Bravado Malaysia. Lipstiq.com’s writer, Genevieve, chose three favourite looks and taught our guests how to give your t-shirt a makeover. The models also carried Nokia handphones and accessories during the show.
A brief break for refreshments by Hilton PJ Hotel and Cronier Wines was followed by a beauty presentation by Dr. Shelby Kho, the founder of *bisou* bonbon, a beauty label that sells natural beauty products such as perfumes and lip scrubs. She shared some beauty tips on natural products and common skin problems with guests. A bubbly, friendly lady, Shelby provided us with great insights during her tutorial.
Delicious finger food was also served to our guests by the Hilton PJ hotel caterers. Some went straight to the buffet table while others decided to check out the phone display by Nokia, which featured their latest Lumia phones.
We ended the Summer Soiree with a round of great lucky draw prizes: two Nokia Lumia phones, Spritzer water dispensers, Lady Gaga x Beats headphones from Universal Music Malaysia, Sorella vouchers, Fairy Beauty sets, Skinfood cosmetics sets, and hampers from Luxola Malaysia.
We had a great time and we hope our guests enjoyed themselves too!
